Her mother wasn't a mother and her father was a pedophile who they allowed to get away with molesting his daughter and beating his wife and kids. If you decide to listen to this book may I suggest that you make a drinking game out of it. Everytime you hear corny one liners, role your eyes, massage your temple, or hear them say one of those repetitive phrases I promise by the 3 chapter you will be drunk enough to listen to the rest of this book blissed out on numbness.

Seriously it is NOT worth the listen. I don't usually write reviews, but this book I couldn't handle it, it was both the combination of the narrator as well as the book Just my opinion. The story is completely romantic Liam is the absolute perfect boy friend that Amanda needs. Some of the writing was hard to believe and predictable. All the characters were great, just the story lines need to be developed more. I am so happy I downloaded the audio version rather than buy the ebook as Leah Mallach and Sean Crisden brought the characters to life and made you completely invested in what happened to each of them.

Without that the book would not have been so entertaining. I'm really conflicted about the audiobook, I like the premise of the story Well I like the story, it's well written and the dialog was fine.

I just had a serious disconnect with the age of the characters in this book. If the characters were 26 and 28 instead of 16 and 18, I probably would have enjoyed the story much more, their young age just kept rolling around in the back of my mind, and I'd find myself cringing at the very adult situations they were put in and no parental supervision what so ever!

I became interested in this book as a result of the glowingly high recommendations it has received on various blog sites. I have to admit, my expectations were through the roof by the time the release date rolled around. Unfortunately, this turned out to be a mistake on my part. The premise had me all geared up for a heart tugging struggle to connect emotionally after surviving an abusive home. I ended up feeling a little cheated, I mean life struggle generally matures people… doesn't it?

Seriously, there's a lot of skipping. Tough angry older brothers should NOT be skipping anywhere. Several phrases were over used to the point that midway through I had the absurd impulse to keep a tally as if there were a word use contest going on. I mention these little nit-picky specifics, because when you combine them they somehow manage to noticeably detract from the story.

Let me be clear, for a self-publish author this book was very very well done. Though it showed up late in the story, I was totally into the Liam insight as the alternate male perspective. The performance makes it worth the credit. For me at least, it only makes the one-time listen list. I really had No expectations for this book i just found it on tiktok and needed something to listen to while i cleaned.

The way they had such a pure love made my great so happy. So glad i found this book. I love this book, I have read it almost 10 plus times it is my favorite. The audiobook says one thing and the book says another.
